Overview:
Sky Sport commissioned a complete broadcast package for the Heineken Open, New Zealand’s premier international tennis tournament held in Auckland. As Creative Director and Lead Motion Designer, I was responsible for shaping a cohesive brand identity and visual system that captured the tournament’s global prestige while engaging a live television audience.

Challenge:
The broadcast needed to balance clarity and functionality with dynamic storytelling. Graphics had to be instantly readable in fast-paced, live-action scenarios, while still reflecting the sophistication and energy of the Heineken brand.
Approach:
Developed a modular design system for on-air graphics that ensured consistency across all broadcast elements.

★ Directed and designed the opening sequence, combining cinematic live-action footage with sleek glassy motion graphics to set the tone.

★ Crafted a suite of broadcast assets including opening titles, break titles, commercial billboards, stings, transitions, lower thirds, score tickers, and in-game statistical tables. 

★ Collaborated with producers, editors, and technical teams to ensure seamless live integration and adaptability across multiple formats.

Outcome:
The final package delivered a dynamic and polished visual identity that elevated Sky Sport’s live coverage. It strengthened brand recognition, enhanced the viewer experience, and gave the tournament a world-class broadcast presence that matched its international reputation.
