I worked closely with the Creative Producer to explore a wide range of visual concepts, experimenting with typography, dynamic transitions, and compositional approaches.
These explorations helped guide the creative development toward a distinctive design solution that aligned with BBC News’ trusted editorial tone while adding energy and accessibility for viewers.
Clarity & Adaptability
My role involved shaping the visual identity, animation style, and narrative flow of the promo, ensuring clarity of message and consistency with the BBC’s broader brand system.
The promo was first broadcast in 2018, and due to its strong creative impact and adaptability, a version of this TV promo continues to air today — a testament to its enduring relevance.
